Kevin Underwood is Technical Director of the British Woodworking Federation and has worked in the joinery industry for forty years. During his career he has developed many door and window ranges and stair designs being directly involved in product performance testing and certification.

The knowledge gained through this work allows Kevin to make an active contribution to many British and European Standards Committees and advise on issues such as the Construction Products Regulation and Building Regulations. He is chair of BSI Technical Committee B/538 that oversees the product standards for doors including fire doors, windows and shutters.
