Fire Safety in the Public Sector
On July 31, Government Business Focus will broadcast Fire Safety in the Public Sector - an interactive webinar which brings together experts in fire safety to discuss legislation, the roles of responsible persons and how to improve fire safety in buildings operated by the public sector.
Topics include industry competency and the latest ‘need-to-knows’ as well as Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm Systems/Emergency Evacuations systems.

John Field
With 20 years' experience with the emergency services, John has worked for approximately 5 of those as Watch Manager in the fire safety department with Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service as Fire Safety Inspecting Officer. John also worked for Imperial College London as Head of Health, Safety and Fire.
Jim Higgins
Following 24 years in the fire service at both local and national government level, followed by 25 years in the private sector, Jim is a qualified fire professional with experience in a variety of fire safety roles. He has served in two local authority fire services and as an instructor at the fire service college.
Ken Bullock
Ken is a well-known and respected individual within the fire safety industry and has over 35 years of experience in which time he has been involved in bringing new technologies to the industry. His fire industry journey began with wireless fire detection and alarm technology.
